Tshole Trust brings communities, businesses and local authorities together to protect Botswana’s environment through responsible used oil management.

We support the collection, safe storage and recovery of used oil while raising awareness about the harm caused by improper disposal. Through collection tanks, stakeholder partnerships and public education, we help keep used oil out of our soil and water.

Together, we can turn everyday responsibility into lasting environmental protection.

We work with communities, businesses and government stakeholders to improve used oil management and protect Botswana’s environment.

We establish collection tanks at designated locations in partnership with local authorities and supporting organisations, helping communities access infrastructure for responsible used oil disposal.

We coordinate stakeholders involved in used oil management, supporting cooperation and more effective collection, recovery and disposal practices across Botswana.

We raise awareness about used oil pollution and encourage individuals and organisations to protect the environment through responsible handling and disposal.

We provide information and advice on used oil recovery, disposal and recycling, helping people understand how to manage this resource responsibly.

We bring together lubricant suppliers, collection and clean-up companies, corporate members, government departments and individuals to support shared environmental goals.

Help Keep Used Oil Out of Our Environment

Every drop of used oil that is improperly disposed of poses a potential threat to our environment. When poured onto the ground, into drains or waterways, used oil can contaminate soil, pollute water sources and harm the ecosystems that communities depend on.

At Tshole Trust, we believe that protecting Botswana's environment is a shared responsibility. Through responsible used oil collection, safe storage, recycling initiatives and environmental awareness, we work to encourage sustainable oil management practices across the country.

Whether you are a business, workshop, service station, community organisation or individual, your actions can make a meaningful difference.
